Solid Gold SeaMeal It’s improved! We took a wonderful product and made it even better. Our SeaMeal is now yeast-free and has been re-formulated with flax seed meal, an excellent source of omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids. It is thought that some dogs may be allergic to certain types of yeast, although often the exact type of yeast causing the allergy, is unknown. In order to eliminate this possible allergen, the brewers yeast (which is just one of more than twenty different types of yeast) was removed from our SeaMeal, and replaced with flax seed meal. The National Cancer Institute has evaluated flax seed and found that it: • stimulates the immune system • reduces the incidence of coronary heart disease • is high in phyto-nutrients which have anti-tumor properties and may be linked to a low incidence of colon-cancer • contains a high level of antioxidants, may lower tryglycerides cholesterol, and have favorable effects on insulin activity. Dr. Michael Murray ND, one of the world’s leading authorities on natural medicine, explains that when flax meal reaches the intestines, the bacteria there change it to compounds that are extremely protective against cancer. Dr Murray also writes that flax may improve nerve function and protect against diabetic disease. SeaMeal is Solid Gold's Number 1 Seller. It is made with nineteen different species of sea vegetation. It is an excellent source of nutrition, and often a more popular supplement than many chemical vitamins and minerals. Of the nineteen different species, only one is kelp. We use kelp for its iodine content, but kelp should never be fed on its own (without the other seaweeds) because it contains small amounts of arsenic. The other eighteen types of seaweed contain arsenate, which binds with the arsenic molecules and takes them out of the body, preventing them from being absorbed.
